September 19, 2011:

We write this with a heavy heart today. Unfortunately little Elijah hasn't been doing too well and is currently continuing his courageous battle from the hospital. We'd like to make one last big push for prayers and donations to help Elijah and his family in any way they need. Everyone has been so extremely generous during this ordeal and we can't even begin to thank you. Just know that you are all very much appreciated and will always remain in our thoughts and hearts!

Again, thank you all so much for your support!

No one ever expects to wake up one morning, intending to take their child to the Emergency Room for what seems to be a “normal” childhood stomach virus, and ends up getting the worst possible diagnosis…your child has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor called BRAIN STEM GLIOMA… There is no known cause and the odds are an incredible 2 out of 100,000 cases.

Well, that’s exactly what happened the morning of November 24, 2010, just ONE day before the Thanksgiving holiday to our friend and sister, Catherine Graciano.

CATHERINE is a proud U.S. Army Veteran; college student and the hard-working single mom of one of the most adorable 6 year old boys in the world, Elijah. He is her WORLD and now she is facing her toughest battle ever. She now has to take an unpaid leave from her job to care for Elijah on a full-time basis.

ELIJAH is a spunky, vibrant, fun-loving and strong-willed kid. He can no longer attend school like a normal kid; and will now have to be home-schooled due to his upcoming grueling chemo/radiation treatments and physical therapy. He still has so many life experiences to enjoy, but that’s where we need YOUR help to reach his goals!

Although Catherine and Elijah have tons of emotional support from family and close friends, we can’t do this ALONE. The household income suddenly has ceased, but the hospital expenses are barely beginning.

We, Catherine’s closest friends and supporters, are creating this site to help raise awareness, not only about our little angel, Elijah, but also about this HORRIBLE disease that affects our innocent children. We will be posting more information as time goes on, with regards to Elijah’s illness, condition and fundraising goals and achievements.

***Please…any donation, nothing is too small, will help…Suggestions are always welcome…Your PRAYERS, regardless of your religious denomination, are appreciated…

Help us to give HOPE to our little boy. Thank you sincerely on behalf of Catherine and Elijah. God Bless you and your loved ones.

Love,

Carolyn, Jasmine & Debbie
